Currently there is no way to specify the hostname of the Mobility Server. It automatically grabs the hostname of the Linux host. This can be problematic when your internal server naming scheme differs from the external name scheme when configuring auto discovery.

The autodiscover.xml file is dynamically generated and pulls the hostname from the Linux host. It would be nice to be able to specify a hostname in the Mobility configuration for this.

  • this is working if your hostname can be resolved by a local dns server. remove all entries from the hosts file but localhost entries and still be able to run hostname -f and receive the local fqdn for the host. autodiscover config will be run once everytime you restart gms. the process will check the public srv record for autodiscover and gets your public domain name for gms. you can check my post in the mf forum https://forums.novell.com/showthread.php/505059-how-to-add-external-url-for-autodiscover?p=2466908#post2466908
