We have users who extensively use Shared folders. Currently by design, users with full rights to the Shared folders can drag the same message(s) into the folder which creates duplicates/copies of the same message(s) in that folder. I would like to see this functionality changed to not allow duplicates in the Shared Folders. The dupes also go towards the mailbox quota which I would like eliminated.
Example:
Currently: If user someone@somewhere.com sends an internal or receives an external message to four users with full rights to a Shared Folder and those four users drag the message to the Shared Folder, then four copies of the same massage will now exist in the Shared folder. This also contributes to a users mailbox quota since the messages are seen as four copies of the same data.
