Purpose;
For privacy purposes, compliance with GDPR, and many privacy policy's / mandates in the government, health and many other industries, or even your own personal stuff.

Problem Description GroupWise 2018;
Due to privacy requirements the end user needs some of the address books and folders in the GroupWise client to be hidden from view in the WebAccess interface. Currently, the best way to do this for address books is; to disable the entire contacts tab view in webacc.cgf, take the address book off the name completion address book list, and (hopefully) know the username to send to, not very nice / user-friendly but it works. However for folders, there is no workaround that I now of.

Proposed Solution;
Would like to be able to activate / hide the viewing of address books and folders in WebAccess (all types), the same way the GMS service allows if selected, single address books or folders to be pushed to the phone.

Thank you,
MAM

  • Update: I perversive the view / hide selection would only be available in the fat client in the Tool > Options > Environment or "new" WebAccess tab for both the end user and of course the GW Admin console / user overrides if needed by the corporate policy's.
