As users is already logged in and authenticated, it would be useful, if no password is needed when the mode is changed.

Switch from online mailbox to caching/remote without enter password and vice versa

This function appears to have lost ground in so far as in GW 2014 R2 the ability to switch is often not working.
IE. When trying to switch from online to remote the GWreload executes but does not actually finish the reload. Deleting both Groupwise.exe and gwreload.exe cause GW to reload without the password and in online mode again. Further the start operators do not correctly load such as Groupwise.exe/@? Etc.
Hence switch to remote can require numerous tries before finding workaround. Which generally requires a reboot and the entering of an incorrect password inorder to get the startup choice menu after 3 incorrect passwords.
