It would be very helpful if expiration dates worked on items posted into shared folders. Our company uses shared folders extensively for everything from notices about service interruptions, to out of office announcements and acting staff appointments. These are things with defined end-dates, but users can't always remember to delete the posting, when it no longer applies.

This leaves the IT staff to cleanup these shared folders, but only the original poster knows when an announcement is truly no longer relevant.

Making the expiration date functionality work for posted items would greatly alleviate the administrative effort.
