According to the GW client documentation under GroupWise 2014 R2 Client User Guide > Email > Managing Sent Email > Retracting Sent Email

"4. If you have selected to retract this item from other recipients’ mailboxes, you can type a comment to the recipients, explaining why the item was retracted."

This is wrong. Only appointments can have a "Retract Comment". But the Retract Comment input box is displayed for every item type, although it is completely unnecessary and misleading. Users are complaining, that they cannot write anything to "Retract Comment" no matter what they select: My Caching and Online Mailbox or My Caching Mailbox or Recipient’s Mailbox or All Mailboxes. So my idea is that if you cannot enter anything to an input box, than don't display it at all.
