If a user deletes or moves mails, they are first marked deleted and only later "expunged". While those mails are not yet "expunged" GroupWise Client shows them striked out, WebAccess just shows them als normal items.
This is very confusing for users. WA does not indicate in any way that these mails shouldn't be really there any more. For example a user complained that IMAP moves seem to work only "locally" but not on the server, WA still shows the mails in the original folder.
WA should show these items striked out like the Client, or not at all.

Try this - GroupWise Admin console --> Domain/PostOffice/User --> Client Options --> Environment tab --> General --> enable "IMAP Copy results in a GroupWise move"
