I feel WebAccess could do with a general UI refresh as it is becoming a little dated.
Most people who join the organisation are usually from another email background (usually outlook) and most enjoy/prefer groupwise apart from the webaccess which they claim to be less user friendly and slow. Especially for large accounts. Message preview and ability to view archived items would also be very good.
Maybe this is something being looked at for the brand new 2017 release?

I agree. Although I think WebAccess currently looks more modern than the desktop client. Both WebAccess and Desktop client look ad feel like they are from about 10 years ago.
Someone in Micro Focus development should take a look at Outlook WebAccess, it is actually a real nice client today. Many years ago it was terrible. GroupWise WebAccess 18 just seems to only have 50% of the feature set of its Windows counterpart.
Well it looks like WebAccess is going to get a refresh in 18.2

From the images it looks like a lot nicer and more modern.
As 18.2 is probably over a year off hopefully they are hard at work adding the missing features that are present in the desktop client and are not just refreshing it visually.
Yes, this looks promising, will be good to get a tech preview.
This is planned for GroupWise 18.2 and is currently in tech preview. https://hub.docker.com/r/mfgroupwise/webacc-ng
This is available in the GroupWise Admin with the 18.2 release on 10/31/2019.
