We often receive emails that include a list of questions. For clarity sake, it is better to answer each question inline rather than answering them all above or below the original email. The problem is that the inline answers don't stand out unless you take the time to select each answer and change the font properties. That wastes time. Just had someone point out to me that he has seen our clients do this automatically. I found out that Outlook has the ability to specify a default font and font color for replies. My users would really benefit from this. Especially if the setting was available on the pop-out side bar of the GroupWise compose window. Most of the time we would want to just use black, but if we get an email where we want to reply inline, we could open the side bar and quickly set the color. This quick change on the side bar would also be helpful if someone already replied in one color and we are the third reply and need to choose a different third color.
