it would be great, if messenger can work with whatsapp or could mirror whatsapp contacts and chats. Goal: no more need for using whatsapp.

there is no alternative to WhatsApp since you're loosing the external contacts when choosing a company solution. In most cases these are customers. So, having a bidir-gateway to WhatsApp would be great. Some contracts with Microfocus and Facebook may help and would give GroupWise/Messenger the market power for the business.
