Novell Messenger 3.x: Option to have new conversations open in tabs rather than separate windows like Adium does. This is the single reason that most Mac users prefer Adium over the Messenger client. The downside to the Adium client is that it logs you out of other messenger sessions when you log in, sucks if you are using the mobile client.

Offer the user the ability to choose Tabbed Mode vs Separate Windows mode for multiple conversations.

Having all these Messenger windows open eat up my precious desktop real estate.
