The only address book searched in the GW 2014 client is the system address book by default. Our staff that are starting to get the 2014 client are complaining that the name completion is no longer working and they want to revert to the 2012 client. Setting the name completion address books is simple to fix, but not knowing that they have to do this manually or knowing where the setting is located is very frustrating and results in angry calls to the help desk.

Since the Frequent Contacts address book is created in the client by default already it would be a great enhancement if it was also automatically selected as an address book to search along with the system address book. This would cut down on the number of negative responses to getting what is actually a great new product .

  • Also, as it works on 2012, that users can change the sequence off wich address book it look first. So the users have there own search order for the address books. My own preffered way, is that we also can configure this for the whole postoffice, or domain. If a company wants this have the same for all users.

  • I rather like the way GW 2014 name completion moves the most frequently used name to the top of the list. This is a great feature but I would think for it to work correctly the Frequent Contacts would need to be included.
