I think if GroupWise would synchronize asynchronously, it would be great for the "Look&Feel" of it when there are network issues or a slow connection because it would hang less often.

Caching Mode of GroupWise Client does this today for us. It gives our end users the *fastest mode* of use for the GroupWise Windows Client. Our users do not see any network latency issues, no slow server issues, and when we reboot the PO server, they don't even see that. There are only a few actions done in the client that are On-line Mode activities while in Caching Mode (i.e Proxy).
The gwsync.exe does all the synchronize work in the background talking to the gwpoa "asynchronously".
