This function was available in IDM version 4.5 , it has since been removed. By removing this , there is a lot of pressure on the admin to make changes on the resource entitlement. Not being able to edit resources , has a big impact for our client.

Problem:
The ability to edit an entitlement on a resource using the new IDM dashboard UI was removed.
Reason behind restriction:
Assume we have a resource with entitlement and it is assigned to multiple users via direct and indirect assignments and if we modify the entitlement then, the existing assignments will not be modified.
Because of which system will go into inconsistent state where older resource assignment(s) will point to some entitlement and newer one to some other.
Solution:
Allow editing the entitlement on a resource if the resource has not been assigned to any user.
Hence the new behavior will be:
a. If a resource with/without entitlement is created and does not have resource assignment(s), it can be added/updated with entitlement
b. If a resource with/without entitlement is created and been assigned to user(s) then add/update of entitlement is not possible
