Create and provide generic template(s) that allows for the selection of approval paths to be taken as the template is turned into a workflow.
One example would be for a provisioning request; that
1) confirms account prerequisites exist,
2) validates training requirements are completed or met,
3) at least one of:
-a) No approval req'd,
-b) Direct Manager approval req'd,
-c) Group Owner approval req'd,
is assigned and configured for the the workflow to follow,
4) the requested access is provisioned if all requirements and approvals are met.
Steps 2 and 3 should process with parallel execution.
This type of generic template would allow for faster and more effective creation of standard workflows, by simply selecting and configuring the desired requirements without needing to create a customized new workflow every time.
