IG Applications who should only have 1 permission assigned should automatically trigger the replacement of the original permission when the new permission to be assigned it is approved/fulfilled.

I would say that a check box on the application that indicates it should only be assigned one permission could be the configuration that would indicate that the removal of the originally assigned permission should happen.
