A customer has requested to be able to make one single collector for multiple applications. The request is for the CSV-file collector and if a JSON collector is created (https://www1.v1ideas.com/MFI/identity-governance/Idea/Detail/13937) for JSON files as well.
The customer would like to be able to create only one collector for applications that have the same data format, and instead for pointing to a specific file, point to a folder containing the file sample, alternatively have one collector file containing data from all applications with a field for the application name.
This request is dependent of the virtual application idea (https://www1.v1ideas.com/MFI/identity-governance/Idea/Detail/13435) in order to separate data from different applications in one collector.

This combined with capability to import application metadata from external CMDB would result in zero-configuration addition of new applications.
This has been linked to the larger backlog item for application collection configuration
Identity Governance 3.6, released in Dec 2019, has the option to use a single collector to collect permissions from multiple applications. In addition, 3.6 offers the ability to create application definitions, including application attributes and metadata, without having to define an account or permission collector.
