Back in 9.0, the DRA Rest client allowed users to use excel like filters at the column headers of the results or group membership panel windows. This added a level of functionality and ease of use, that my admins found Superb! Then with one of the following releases, this functionality was removed. I understand that at some point (if not already) the results of a search will be paged ... which would make the sort functionality -- as it was before difficult -- as you wouldn't necessarily get all of the A's in the first paged return.

2 Options: 1) Either give the DRA Admins the ability to flip the switch to remove the paged results, while accepting a performance hit, or 2) the query used to pull the paged data from AD should be configured to return the collection in a alpha sorted array.

When my Admins receive a request to remove an individual from a group -- even as small as 30 members in size, the inability to sort the listed results drives them mad. Please consider.

  • This is a valid request and we will review where to add this functionality into the web console. Would you be willing to provide an average of how many objects are being returned from your searches?

  • I've added the ability to allow admins to select a return size of 2000. It makes it slower of course. I've recently figured out how to re-enable the sorting and filtering of search results which has helped us tremendously. I think this should be reenabled by NetIQ by option.
