We use DRA to allow users to manage groups they own themselves through the web site. Most of the help desk tickets we get are because the default search filter does not work well in our environment. We provide directions but some people either don't read or don't understand the directions.
It would be very helpful if there was an administrative option which lets us set all of the default search filter options.
Object Type
Domain
Include Child Containers
Attribute
Search Type (begins with/ends with/is/contains)
Obviously if we select select User, Group for the default objects and there is a form that is scoped to just find Users, it should automatically exclude group since its not a valid object for that search dialog.
While I think that any changes a user makes to their search filter should be saved, I can see where some customers might like an option to not save the users search settings between sessions and always reset them to the defaults.
