Currently, when I configure something that is not allowed, the OK and Apply buttons are not clickable. I don't know there is a problem until I mouse-over the tab to and then the error appears. I shouldn't have to hunt down the error. There should be a popup or message bar that appears instead.

It would also be helpful for all errors to be a real time result vs a submission of the task and then receiving an error after the fact.
A use case example for this would be bulk group adds where maybe 50 users were set to be added to a group and 45 of them were added, 5 gave an error because of high level group membership (or special group membership) and then the user submitting the change has to trace down why in the notifications window.
Thank you for these ideas. We are continually enhancing the usability of the Web Console and will take both requests into consideration for a future release.
I agree. The web console error messages are not obvious enough and the brief notification shown to the user doesn't have any details. I like the error and operation history being accessible but new errors ought to stay on the screen with the most relevant error details until the user dismisses it or until they navigate to a different screen.
I agree. You should be able to have the error/info message generated by a scripted operation take focus.
