It would be convienent to enable/disable the ssh daemon through admin portal. Furthermore it would be convienent to enable the ssh daemon via the configuration console in the cases where the admin portal is not accessible.

  • Apparently the next version (that they're currently working on) will be offered as a system service, rather than appliance. So I'd expect that would resolve this idea.

  • Tim, is this no longer an issue since the SUSE side of the appliance is open to your configuration?

  • Correct. With the release of 6.0 and the new appliance framework, this is no longer an issue.
